So You Can Use ReBuildingYou and My Services With Confidence…

When I read some of these, I was totally blown away…  I have always wanted to give back – and more than that, to make sense of all the things that have happened to me by sharing and passing on what I’ve learned.  To read that I have succeeded sometimes is an amazing thing.  I never dared to ask anyone what they thought of me and my help before…  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Brett, BC

I crashed my van in Oct.2002 and flew 50 feet, I'm told. I hit the ground so hard that my brain hit my skull and I don't remember about 2 and a half months, give or take a few days. When I woke up I didn't know all the w's - who ,what, where and when. It took me another month to walk with a cane and I lost everything I had worked my whole life for over the next year.  My spine - or more correctly my neck - was in such bad shape it took a physiotherapist to crack it back into place.  Not to mention my collar bone that got broken and is still not healed correctly.  I think everyone thought I was going to die, so no-one bothered to set it properly…

My will power to heal myself takes a large part of the credit in my recovery for sure…  But once I met Julie Taylor, the next level of recovery started for me. I had been working part-time in 4 different jobs trying to get back into "normal" life. One of those jobs was wrapping chocolate bars – I used to be a welder on oil rigs in the ‘frozen North’.  With Julie’s help I found the confidence to go out and learn to dance and find a girlfriend.  She supported me to find legal help to tackle the insurance company and to get further medical help. Julie helped me get a normal job doing labour for a drywall company. The pay was much better and the people are pretty good for the most part, as it should be.  Now I’m working full time and I’m back on track chasing my goals. Without Julie’s help I would still be struggling with peoples ignorance of my possibilities.  I needed someone to give me a try at something.  A chance.  I needed someone to believe in me and help me get back to normal. - Brett, BC

Julie Taylor is one of the most inspiring individuals that I have ever met.  Overcoming a life threatening trauma in her late 20’s, battling against all odds just to survive.  This alone would make Julie a very remarkable person but, there is so much more to her story.

Since I met Julie, I have become an ardent admirer of her keen intelligence, her forthright and honest approach to any task.  She has a determination that I have rarely seen in others, seeing solutions to problems with an uncanny accuracy.  She also possesses an abundance of common sense, loyalty, compassion and a willingness to help others.  Add this all together and Julie makes a wonderful counsellor and a good friend.    - Dominic, Nova Scotia

Julie Taylor has a wealth of grounded wisdom drawn from her life experiences and professional training. As a counsellor applying her education and experience, Julie addresses client's issues within a non threatening style of dialogue. The benefits of Julie's counsel are easily received, not so much due to what she offers from her own tool box, but because of her ability to point clients toward their own self development.

Julie gently guides clients toward their own inner wisdom. In addition she assists clients to locate and utilize appropriate support systems and resources that are available to them, which they may not have previously been aware. Without reservation i recommend Julie Taylor as an excellent counsellor and an exceptional facilitator of support resources.

I have known Julie for many years and have found her to be the most loyal and honest person who would go to great lengths to help someone in need.  She has a good brain and knows how to use it - she is also a people-friendly girl and knows how to get to the bottom of any particular problem.  Nothing is pushed to the back burner!  Despite her own disabilities she knows where she's coming from and has great insight into where others need help.  - Jean, BC
