Snuggle up with a friend, a couple of pillows, a blanket and some popcorn and pick the movie of your choice from among thousands of titles, including new releases - and all this from the comfort of your home (or even your hospital bed).

Once you've set up your account your movies will be delivered right to your door - and when you've watched them, just put them in the pre-paid envelope provided and pop them in the mailbox. What could be easier!

With a computer (a laptop or the new 7" laptops are ideal) it's possible to do so many things that were impossible a few years ago.

If you wanted to choose a movie, you had to go out to your local video store. If you're in hospital - or unable to leave the house - this is absolutely wonderful.

Now you can browse online and choose exactly what you want in your own time - no rush. You can keep a record of all the movies you've seen and check in seconds to see whether you've seen it and how you rated it. You can keep another list of all the movies you would like to see. You can watch an actual trailer of your movie online - or just read about it.

Both of these companies are safe to use - I have personally given my credit card to each of them. Their customer service is reliable and good. The cost per movie is actually less than you would pay in a video store - and you can keep the movie for as long as you want. They send your next choice as soon as they receive back your current movie. In fact, I think they send 2 or 3 movies at a time.
